
On the morning of September 28, at Van Xuan flower garden (Ba Dinh ward), the Department of Agriculture and Environment coordinated with the Youth Union, the Women's Union of Ba Dinh ward and the Vietnam Green Community to organize the launching ceremony of "Green Sunday in response to the campaign to make the world cleaner by 2025 - Green Walk Vietnam - Clean up Ha Noi". The program aims to call on all classes of people to join hands to preserve the living environment and spread practical actions to protect the planet.
With the message “Action for a green, clean, beautiful environment - For a sustainable Hanoi ”, the event attracted thousands of union members, students and residents of the capital. The highlight was the general cleaning and garbage collection activities on streets, parks and residential areas.
At the launch ceremony, about 300 people, including international volunteers, participated in cleaning up the Van Xuan flower garden, Hang Dau booth and Long Bien bus station. At the same time, the Green Walk Vietnam parade called on the community to reduce plastic waste and prioritize environmentally friendly products.

Communes and wards in the city also simultaneously launched a sanitation campaign, sweeping schools, residential areas, and public works, creating a synchronous spreading atmosphere.
A representative of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment emphasized: “Environmental protection is an urgent and long-term task. The city has determined that it cannot develop sustainably without a clean environment. This campaign hopes to spread the spirit of green action, calling on everyone to join hands to build a bright - green - clean - beautiful Hanoi.”
The representative of the Youth Union affirmed that the youth of the capital will always be a pioneer in environmental protection movements, contributing to nurturing a “green future” for the city and the country. The representative of the Women’s Union of Ba Dinh Ward hopes to spread green living habits from each family and residential area, forming a sustainable movement throughout the city.

The campaign is held in the context of Hanoi and the whole country promoting plans to respond to climate change and build civilized, green and clean urban areas. The event not only responds to the international movement but also demonstrates the determination of the government and people of the capital in turning the commitment to environmental protection into concrete actions, contributing to the goal of harmonious development of the economy , society and nature.
With the message “Every small action - a green future”, the program encourages people to throw trash in the right place, reduce plastic bags, and limit single-use plastic. The organizers hope that “Green Sunday” will not only be an activity in response to the campaign, but will become a regular, sustainable movement, contributing to building a bright - green - clean - beautiful Hanoi.
