Opening of the Congress of Delegates of the Son La Provincial Party Committee

The 16th Congress of Son La Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030 was held at Son La Provincial Convention Center.

Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee attended and directed the congress.

Also attending the congress were Comrade Tong Thi Phong, former Politburo member, former Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly, former Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee; Party Central Committee members: Nguyen Kim Son, Minister of Education and Training; Nguyen Huu Dong, Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission and representatives of leaders of central departments, ministries, branches, mass organizations, Military Region 2, leaders of Phu Tho, Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Lao Cai, Thanh Hoa provinces.

On the side of Son La province, there were comrades: Hoang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and 400 delegates representing more than 94,000 party members of 79 Party Committees under the Son La Provincial Party Committee.

Speaking at the 16th Congress of Son La Provincial Party Committee, Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, on behalf of the Politburo, congratulated and commended the achievements that the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of all ethnic groups in Son La province have achieved in the past time.

Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai suggested that Son La continue to promote administrative reform associated with digital transformation, decentralization, delegation of power along with inspection, supervision, removing "bottlenecks" in institutions and policies, creating a transparent and favorable investment environment, improving the competitiveness and attractiveness of the province.

At the same time, focus on socio-economic development, agricultural restructuring associated with new rural construction, effective resource management, environmental protection, climate change adaptation; develop modern industry, consider industry as a growth driver and promote digital economy, green economy, and circular economy.
