The Central Highlands General Hospital said it had just admitted and treated a 12-year-old patient with serious injuries and crushed hands due to firecrackers.

The patient is PLBK (male, 12 years old, residing in Cu Ebur commune, Buon Ma Thuot city). At around 6:00 p.m. on December 14, the patient was taken to the emergency room at the Central Highlands General Hospital in a state of multiple injuries, traumatic shock, rapid pulse, low blood pressure, severe blood loss, crushed right and left hands, multiple injuries to the face and both eyes, injuries to the right lower leg, injuries to both right and left feet due to firearms. Immediately, doctors from the Department of Trauma and Orthopedics of the Central Highlands General Hospital performed surgery on the patient.
The surgery lasted more than 2 hours, the patient was transfused 4 units of blood. Due to the severity of the wound, the patient had to have his entire left hand amputated, 4 fingers of his right hand removed, the wounds on his legs and calves were cut open, the abrasions on his jaw and face were examined by ophthalmologists, currently his eyes are showing signs of blurring. Currently, after the surgery, the patient's health is temporarily stable and he will be transferred to a higher level for further treatment.
