First Secretary of the Central Youth Union visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers

TPO - Immediately after the launching ceremony of the 2024 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, the working delegation led by Mr. Bui Quang Huy - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Youth Union participated in activities responding to the campaign.

The delegation visited Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Cong (born in 1928) in village 8, Hoa Binh commune, Thuy Nguyen district, Hai Phong city. Mother Nguyen Thi Cong had 6 children, 2 of whom were martyrs, who died in 1974, on the southern battlefield. Mother Nguyen Thi Cong is currently living with her 4th child.

At the program, Mr. Bui Quang Huy kindly asked about the health and life of Mother Nguyen Thi Cong; at the same time expressed gratitude and appreciation for her great sacrifices and contributions in the cause of fighting for national liberation, unifying the country and building and defending the Fatherland.

Mr. Huy said that visiting and giving gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers is a regular activity organized by the Youth Union at all levels, demonstrating the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", the affection, awareness and responsibility of young people towards the previous generation.

After visiting and encouraging Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Cong, the delegation continued to participate in the following activities: Inauguration and launch of the OCOP Commercial Hall model; examination and consultation on dental care for 1,000 students and donation of 500 million VND to the Dental Fund for disadvantaged children; livestreaming the OCOP Market at Vincom Imperia Shopping Center.

OCOP products introduced at the program

In particular, the program to donate to the Dental Fund sponsored by Sing International Dental Joint Stock Company is 500 million VND, to support examination, consultation, treatment, and dental adjustment for members and youth in difficult circumstances in Hai Phong City. The number of dental treatment and adjustment is expected to be for 20 people.

Next, Sing Dental will organize the "Smile Bus" Journey to visit, survey the situation and develop specific treatment and adjustment plans and routes; at the same time, consider supporting transportation for beneficiaries who have difficulty in traveling, participating in treatment and adjustment at the clinic.

In particular, at the lobby of Vincom Imperia Commercial Center, OCOP Market livestream sessions took place with the participation of KOLs and KOCs. The livestream sessions sold and promoted Hai Phong's typical products, such as: Cot Den Pate, traditional Cat Hai fish sauce, Ha Lung sausage, shrimp floss, braised sardines...

Nguyen Thi Tuong Thao, owner of the TikTok channel “Mon la vuon nha” is one of the hosts participating in the livestream of the OCOP Market. Thao said that last year, she participated in most of the OCOP Markets in the North and the South and when she received the invitation to participate in this program, she was very excited.

“The livestream session was very successful, with high interaction. I hope that young people will be equipped with skills and knowledge to implement OCOP Markets as they are increasingly developing, thereby contributing to promoting and spreading widely the agricultural products and specialties of their homeland,” said Tuong Thao.
