On Route 519B through Tan Thanh Commune, the water level of the Dan River rose high and flowed rapidly, causing two locations, including the Cua Du culvert and Thanh Nang culvert, to be deeply flooded, at times reaching up to 4 meters. By 3:00 p.m. this afternoon, this area was still flooded about 2 meters deep, causing traffic disruption, completely cutting off more than 1,500 households with nearly 6,500 people in 12 villages of Tan Thanh Commune.

In Hanh village, Xuan Chinh commune, 21 households with 111 people are currently temporarily isolated, due to the rising and strong flow of the Ac river, which swept away the temporary bridge that people still use for daily travel.

At the inspected locations, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Doan Anh highly appreciated the Party committees, authorities, and forces for being proactive in storm prevention and control work and taking measures to prevent people from passing through deeply flooded locations.

The Provincial Party Secretary sympathized with the losses and difficulties of localities and people caused by storms and floods; at the same time, he requested the provincial departments, functional forces, local Party committees and authorities to concentrate on overcoming the consequences of natural disasters; support people to quickly stabilize their lives and restore production. In particular, it is necessary to pay attention to ensuring the lives of people in flooded areas and areas with traffic disruptions, so that no one goes hungry.

Along with that, urgently overcome damage to traffic infrastructure, quickly clear landslide areas, synchronously deploy solutions to ensure traffic safety, and prevent unfortunate incidents and accidents.

In the long term, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with localities to survey and advise the province on a project to upgrade traffic infrastructure in mountainous areas, prioritizing investment in the construction of rigid bridges and suspension bridges to overcome traffic disruptions during the rainy and stormy season.
