Also at the scene directing the rescue was Mr. Hoang Nam, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province.

As reported by SGGP, two fishing boats with registration numbers BV4670 TS and BV0042 TS (registered in Ho Chi Minh City) entered Cua Viet port to avoid the storm.
When approaching the mouth of the creek, both ships encountered an accident, one sank, one broke, 11 fishermen called for help.

Thanks to the quick response, the authorities directly approached the scene with fishermen, bringing the 8 fishermen in distress safely to shore.

Border medical staff provided first aid and checked the health of the crew members every 30 minutes. Initial results showed that the crew members' health was stable.
Food and accommodation for crew members are fully guaranteed.

At this point, three fishermen are still missing. The search is underway with the participation of nearly 100 people, including border guards, police, coast guard and local fishermen.
The force used a drone to assist in the search at sea. One fisherman was lucky enough to cling to a buoy offshore, but due to high waves and strong winds, rescuers were unable to reach the site.

Quang Tri Provincial Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang said: "Plans are ready, forces are waiting for the storm to subside to approach as quickly as possible, determined to bring the fishermen back safely."
