On the night of September 19, while on duty, ship KN 215 received a distress call from fishing boat KG-95054TS stating that a fisherman on board was showing signs of unusual health and needed urgent assistance.
Immediately after receiving the information, the KN 215 ship quickly maneuvered to the location of the ship with the fisherman in distress. The medical team immediately went to the fishing boat to take the patient to the Fisheries Control ship for first aid. After examination, the victim was identified as Mr. Tran Van T. (born in 1969, residing in Kien Giang ), showing signs of severe poisoning, fever, high and unstable blood pressure, and vomiting. The medical team performed first aid, administered medication, and monitored his health condition according to the doctor's instructions.
By 11 p.m. the same day, the patient's health gradually stabilized. He was given medicine and handed over to the fishing boat. At the same time, the captain was instructed to quickly bring the patient ashore for further treatment, ensuring his safety.
During the rescue mission, the Fisheries Surveillance force also combined propaganda and dissemination of laws on combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing, guiding fishermen to exploit the right fishing grounds, and visiting, encouraging, and distributing propaganda materials to fishermen.
