After being named in the Ninh Binh Club's registration list for the 2nd phase of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship , Bich Tuyen is being considered by Coach Thai Thanh Tung to be added to the coaching staff of the ancient capital Hoa Lu team.

The official list will be finalized on October 6, in the technical meeting before the opening day of phase 2 of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship.

Thus, if there are no changes, Bich Tuyen will both compete and be an assistant coach. In fact, the athlete being an assistant coach is not a new thing in Vietnamese women's volleyball.

Last season, VTV Binh Dien Long An surprised everyone by bringing veteran middle blocker Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa back into the 14-player roster, concurrently serving as an assistant coach. The 38-year-old hitter’s experience helped the Western team win the national championship.

However, in Bich Tuyen's case, many opinions say that if the 2000-born setter is under a lot of pressure from opponents as well as public opinion, she will step back into coaching, which is the most reasonable option at this time.

Recently, Bich Tuyen's participation in both the club and national team has caused a lot of controversy. Most recently, the 25-year-old hitter suddenly withdrew from the Vietnamese women's volleyball team at the 2025 World Championship, then she continued to be the center of attention when Thailand announced that Vietnam's opposing setter would not participate in the 33rd SEA Games.

The Vietnam Volleyball Federation confirmed that Bich Tuyen's name is still on the preliminary list, and will only finalize the official list before the team leaves for Thailand to attend the SEA Games next December.
