Commendation of exemplary working families in 2024

In particular, the conference was also attended by 100 typical families of workers in the capital, 62 children of workers with high academic achievements were commended and 200 children of workers received scholarships from the City Labor Federation and the Hanoi Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Hanoi Labor Confederation Pham Quang Thanh said that in recent years, the Capital Trade Union at all levels has always focused on implementing family work in accordance with the functions and tasks of the Trade Union organization. In particular, the Capital Trade Union at all levels has strengthened family life education ; provided knowledge and skills for family building. Well performed the function of caring for, representing, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers - especially female workers.

At the same time, strengthen the organization of health care activities. Participate in inspecting and supervising the implementation of policies related to employees; participate in negotiating and including in the content of the Collective Labor Agreement at the enterprise regulations on supporting pregnant female employees, raising young children and employees with children of nursery and preschool age. Focus on social work, caring for and helping employees' families in difficult circumstances.

In addition, the activities of taking care of employees' children have been paid attention to and implemented regularly and promptly by the Capital Trade Union at all levels, bringing many practical meanings, aiming to add strength, encourage and motivate the spirit of studying and training of employees' children. Through that, it contributes to demonstrating the role of the Trade Union organization in caring and protecting union members and workers; is a source of encouragement, support, and further motivation for the team of employees to better perform the responsibility of taking care of and raising their children to adulthood; at the same time, they can feel secure in their work, strive to work, produce, and contribute, to always complete the assigned tasks at agencies, units, enterprises and the City.

Thanks to the efforts of all levels, sectors, agencies, units, the City Trade Union at all levels and especially each family, each year the City Trade Union at all levels has more exemplary families of workers and employees. Many units are doing better and better in family work and honoring exemplary families.

The Chairman of the City Labor Federation expressed his emotion when he learned that the 100 typical families present at the conference were all exemplary examples in overcoming all difficulties, striving in studying, working, raising and educating their children to adulthood and affirmed: 100 families honored and commended today, each family is truly a beautiful flower that has the power to spread to the community and society, contributing to promoting and preserving the good traditional values ​​of Vietnamese families in the new era.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the City Labor Confederation, the Chairman of the City Labor Confederation congratulated the achievements and results of the 100 outstanding families of workers in the capital in 2024; at the same time, commended the agencies, units, organizations and enterprises that have always accompanied the activities of the Trade Union to care for workers.

For the children of workers who overcome all difficulties to excel and achieve high results in their studies, these are typical examples of perseverance.

At the conference, the City Labor Federation honored 100 outstanding families of workers in 2024; honored 62 students who overcame difficulties to win prizes in international competitions and national excellent student competitions; and awarded scholarships to 100 children of workers who achieved high academic achievements and overcame difficulties to study well in the 2023-2024 school year.

 

In 2024, activities to honor exemplary families of workers in the capital, honor children of workers with high academic achievements, and award scholarships to children of workers who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies have been implemented in 100% of the Trade Unions at the direct superior level and affiliated grassroots Trade Unions.

Based on the guidance of the City Labor Federation, the Capital Labor Union at all levels has propagated and organized the registration, selection, commendation and honor of exemplary families of workers and awarded scholarships to children of workers and employees who have achieved high results and overcome difficulties to study well at all levels.

Up to now, 5,643 grassroots trade unions have organized to commend and reward 33,501 exemplary families of workers with a bonus of nearly 9 billion VND; 3,445 exemplary families have been commended and rewarded by the Trade Union at the direct superior level with a total bonus of nearly 2.3 billion VND, of which 100 exemplary families of workers have been commended and rewarded by the City Labor Federation.

Every year, the City Labor Federation pays attention to maintaining the organization and directing the Trade Unions at all levels to commend the children of employees who have achieved high achievements and award scholarships to the children of employees who have overcome difficulties and studied well. In the 2023-2024 school year, as of July 31, 2024, 50,925 children of employees who have achieved high achievements in the 2023-2024 school year have been commended and recognized by the Capital Labor Unions at all levels. The City Labor Federation and the Hanoi Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs awarded 200 scholarships, each worth 2 million VND in cash and gifts, to the children of employees who have overcome difficulties and studied well.
