Tran Quyet Chien had a spectacular acceleration with consecutive wins, thereby winning his first victory at the World Championship 2025 taking place in Antwerp - Belgium.

In the match that ended in the early morning of October 15, Tran Quyet Chien faced Lee Beom-yeol (Korea). This was the opening match of Vietnam's No. 1 player at the 2025 World Championship of 3-cushion carom billiards.

Tran Quyet Chien won the right to start and started the game quite well with a series of 5 shots. However, the player from Ha Tinh was slow in the next shots. The representative of Vietnam also did not have the best feeling of playing, when many shots lacked strength.

In the 20th turn, Lee Beom-yeol tried to score a series of 9 to reduce the gap to 31-37, but could not reverse the situation. Tran Quyet Chien scored 3 points to reach the 40 mark. The Korean player scored 4 points after the back.

In the end, Tran Quyet Chien defeated Lee Beom-yeol 40-36 after 22 rounds. The Vietnamese player won his first match at the 2025 World Championship. This opening victory helped Quyet Chien advance to the round of 32 (knockout).

Previously, Bao Phuong Vinh convincingly defeated Bahamondes with a score of 40-13, after 12 rounds. Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu lost to Carlos Anguita with a score of 38-40.

The 2025 World Championship will feature 48 players, divided into 16 groups (3 players each), playing a round robin to calculate points and rank. The top two players in each group will qualify for the knockout round (32 players).
