Foreign players of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club have arrived at Thong Nhat Stadium.

(NLDO) - In the 1-0 victory of the Vietnamese team over Nepal, two foreign players of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club appeared in the stands to watch the match.

In the match between Vietnam and Nepal in Group B, the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers, the A stand of Thong Nhat Stadium had the presence of two foreign players from Ho Chi Minh City, Maria Khan (Pakistan) and Tatiana Mason (USA).

This appearance is not surprising, these two foreign players and Japanese midfielder - Sakura Yoshida appeared in the final match of the 2025 National Women's Football Championship between Ho Chi Minh City 1 and Hanoi Women's Club.

They witnessed the moment when coach Kim Chi and his teammates set a new milestone with their 14th championship and 7 consecutive championships. Among them, foreign players from Pakistan and Japan were the two strikers who participated in the semi-finals, and Tatiana Mason was the striker recruited in the quarter-finals.

According to coach Kim Chi, the team will also add new players in addition to these old foreign players for the AFC Women's Champions League 2025-2026 (Asian Women's C1). However, at this time the club cannot provide further details.

The fact that these foreign players appeared early means they have most likely started training with the HCMC Women's Club in Hanoi , preparing for the Asian Women's C1 tournament.

In the continental tournament, coach Kim Chi's team will play host to Group A when they meet Stallion Laguna FC (Philippines National Championship runner-up), Lion City Sailors FC (Singapore National Championship defending champion) and the 2024-2025 Asian Women's Cup C1 runner-up, Melbourne City FC (Australian National Championship defending champion). These matches will take place in Vietnam from November 13 to 19.
