Binh Duong launched the 10th Nguyen Van Tiet Journalism Award

(NLDO) - Binh Duong Provincial People's Council has just approved the reward levels of the Nguyen Van Tiet Journalism Award, in which the A prize is up to 18 million VND.

On December 25, Binh Duong province held a press conference and information on the socio -economic, defense and security situation in 2024.

Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, co-chaired the conference.

The report at the conference showed that in 2024, Binh Duong's socio-economy will develop positively, with many positive results.

Up to now, 31/36 economic, social, environmental and smart urban targets have met and exceeded the plan; the remaining targets have nearly met the plan and have had a good growth rate compared to the same period.

Overview of the conference

Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) is estimated to increase by 7.48% (in 2023, it will increase by 5%); GRDP per capita reaches 181.2 million VND; economic structure: industry - services - agriculture - product tax minus product subsidies with corresponding proportions of 64.93% - 25.08% - 2.73% - 7.26%.

The province continues to attract over VND80,000 billion in registered domestic business capital and over USD2.2 billion in foreign investment capital.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Head of the Propaganda Department of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, highly appreciated the coordination between press agencies and Binh Duong province in information and propaganda, accompanying the development of the province, contributing significantly to the local Party committees and authorities at all levels in performing well the leadership and direction tasks in the fields of socio-economics, foreign affairs, national defense and security, Party building and political system; introducing and promoting the image of the homeland and people of Binh Duong.

On this occasion, the Propaganda Department of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee also launched the 10th Nguyen Van Tiet Journalism Award - 2025. This is an annual journalism award of Binh Duong province, organized to select and award authors and groups of authors working at press agencies inside and outside the province, with high-quality journalistic works.

This award is given to print, electronic, audio, visual, and photo journalism in the following categories: news, reflections, interviews, notes, comments, essays, reports, memoirs, investigations, documentaries, and multimedia products, with the maximum number of awards for each category being: 1 A prize; 2 B prizes; 3 C prizes, and 5 Consolation prizes.

In addition, there are also thematic awards for outstanding journalistic works in one of the following groups of topics: Economic, cultural, social, defense, security, foreign affairs development; Party building, political system building; building Binh Duong smart city, or other topics...

Each topic has a structure including 1 A prize, 1 B prize and 1 C prize.

Ms. Hanh informed that recently, Binh Duong Provincial People's Council approved the prize levels of the Award, accordingly, A prize: 18 million VND; B prize is 14.4 million VND; C prize is 10.8 million VND and consolation prize is 5.4 million VND.

Thematic prizes include: Prize A is 9 million VND; Prize B is 7.2 million VND; Prize C is 5.4 million VND.
