Binh Phuoc approves investment in aluminum production project worth 22,780 billion VND

The aluminum processing and production project in Binh Phuoc has an area of ​​nearly 300 hectares, with a total investment of VND 22,780 billion.

On March 6, the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province approved the investment policy for the Binh Phuoc alumina processing and production project (part of the bauxite mining, ore selection, and alumina processing and production complex).

The project has a total area of ​​nearly 300 hectares in the communes of Nghia Binh, Nghia Trung, Thong Nhat and Duc Lieu (Bu Dang district). The project has a designed capacity of about 2 million tons of aluminum/year, with an operating period of 30 years.

The total investment capital of the project is about 22,780 billion VND (equivalent to 911.2 million USD). Of which, the investor's contributed capital is about 6,834 billion VND, mobilized capital is about 15,946 billion VND. The time to implement construction and complete basic construction is within 5 years.

Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee also approved the investor as Binh Phuoc Ore Exploitation Joint Stock Company, with Mr. Phan Thanh Nam as general director.

The investor will coordinate with local authorities to implement compensation, resettlement support, and procedures to change the purpose of using production forest land to other purposes...

Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee requires that during the operation, investors must use advanced technology, strictly implement environmental protection work, ensure dam safety, and not allow environmental incidents to occur.

At the same time, coordinate with local authorities to ensure security and order in the mining area. Strengthen training and use of local labor and implement social security policies for people in the project-affected area.

After exploitation, the company must urgently restore the previously exploited land area to hand over the land to the locality and people to serve production...
