Binh Thuan has 1 individual and 1 cooperative honored nationwide.

The program "Pride of Farmers" organized by the Vietnam Farmers' Union is one of the key, typical and practical activities for farmers' unions at all levels and farmers in 63 provinces and cities.

According to the Organizing Committee, on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Farmers' Union (October 14, 1930 - October 14, 2023), on October 12-13, there will be a series of events under the "Pride of Vietnamese Farmers" program, including the workshop "Promoting digital transformation in farmers' financial activities"; the 8th National Farmers' Forum in 2023 and the Ceremony to honor 100 outstanding Vietnamese farmers and 63 typical agricultural cooperatives nationwide in 2023. The Honoring Ceremony will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television at 8:00 p.m. on October 13.

According to the Organizing Committee, the Program is held annually and this year enters its 11th year (2013 - 2023). Thereby, it creates a strong effect, attracting the attention of all economic and social sectors and the agricultural sector. On the other hand, it creates a driving force to promote the emulation movement of labor, creativity, application of high technology, proactive integration of members of the Farmers' Association at all levels; attracting the participation and investment of enterprises in the agricultural sector.

This year, Binh Thuan province has 1 individual and 1 cooperative honored. That is farmer Dinh Xuan Dao (born 1970), Ham Duc commune, Ham Thuan Bac. The production and business model is a garden growing and trading dragon fruit. From 2018 to now, the dragon fruit production area is 22 hectares, including white-fleshed dragon fruit, red-fleshed dragon fruit and purple-pink dragon fruit varieties. The dragon fruit purchasing facility has been expanded and upgraded to include a packaging workshop, a cold storage for dragon fruit, and a garage with an area of 5,000 ^m2 . The family has built a sprinkler and drip irrigation system for 22 hectares of dragon fruit, worth over 2 billion VND. Continuously for 5 years (2017 - 2021), they have achieved the title of excellent farmer in production and business at the Central level.

The cooperative honored nationwide in 2023 is Thuan Tien Dragon Fruit Cooperative, Ham Liem Commune, Ham Thuan Bac. The cooperative has 11 member households, with medium and large production scale. The production and business lines are production, export of fresh dragon fruit and agricultural material supply services for dragon fruit trees. In 2020, the cooperative achieved OCOP certification for 4-star white-flesh dragon fruit and 3-star red-flesh dragon fruit. In 2021, the cooperative members maintained production according to GlobalGAP, linked and entrusted consumption to a number of other cooperatives....
