The Politburo disciplined Mr. Bui Van Cuong.

(Dan Tri) - The Politburo decided to issue a disciplinary warning to the Standing Committee of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term and Mr. Bui Van Cuong, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

On November 15, the Politburo reviewed and disciplined party organizations and party members who had committed violations and shortcomings. After considering the proposal of the Central Inspection Committee , the Politburo found that the Standing Committee of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term had violated the principle of democratic centralism, Party regulations, and Working Regulations. The Standing Committee of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term was also irresponsible, lax in leadership and direction, and lacked inspection and supervision, allowing the Party Executive Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and many organizations and individuals to seriously violate regulations in organizing the implementation of Construction Package No. 3, the Ho Chi Minh Road Construction Investment Project, the Eastern bypass of Buon Ma Thuot City, implemented by Thuan An Company, and a number of solar power projects.

According to the Politburo, a number of cadres and party members, including key cadres of the province, violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption and negativity; violated the Regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example. Violations and shortcomings of the Standing Committee of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term (from December 2019 to October 2020) caused serious consequences, risking loss and waste of large amounts of State money and assets, causing bad public opinion, and reducing the prestige of the Party organization and local government. The Politburo determined that Mr. Bui Van Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption and negativity; violated the Regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example. These violations have caused serious consequences, risking loss and waste of large amounts of State money and assets, causing negative public opinion, and reducing the prestige of the Party organization and local government. The Politburo therefore decided to issue a disciplinary warning to the Standing Committee of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term and Mr. Bui Van Cuong. The Politburo also requested competent authorities to promptly issue administrative discipline, consistent with Party discipline.
