The Politburo works with 6 Provincial Party Standing Committees

On September 8, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, Working Groups No. 1, No. 3, and No. 4 of the Politburo worked with representatives of the 6 Provincial Party Standing Committees of Dong Nai, Vinh Long, Dong Thap, Quang Tri, Thai Nguyen, and Phu Tho to give opinions on draft documents and personnel plans for the Party Committees to be submitted to the Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

Working Group No. 1 is chaired by Comrade Luong Cuong, Politburo member and President.

Working Group No. 3 is chaired by Comrade Tran Thanh Man , Politburo member and Chairman of the National Assembly.

Working Group No. 4 is chaired by Comrade Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member and Permanent Secretary of the Secretariat.

Also attending the meeting were members of the Politburo and members of the Central Party Secretariat.

At the working sessions, the Working Groups listened to and commented on the draft documents mainly submitted to the Party Congresses for the 2025-2030 term, including the Political Report, the Report reviewing the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term, the Personnel Project for the Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; the draft Resolution of the Congress and the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the Congress. The report on receiving and explaining comments from the Central Committees, ministries and branches on the draft documents and the Congress preparation work of the provinces.

The Politburo, Secretariat and delegates attending the meeting basically agreed with the draft documents of the Party Executive Committees of Dong Nai, Vinh Long, Dong Thap, Quang Tri, Thai Nguyen and Phu Tho provinces. In general, the draft documents of the provinces quite fully assessed the results achieved in the past 5 years, frankly pointed out the limitations, causes and lessons learned; identified the directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025 - 2030 period, demonstrating the spirit of political determination, development vision, basically grasping and concretizing the major policies and orientations in the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress and the resolutions of the Central Committee and the Politburo issued recently. It is recommended that the provinces clarify the outstanding results, the remaining limitations, and more carefully assess the potential and strengths of each locality. At the same time, the opinions have suggested a number of strategic directions and set out requirements for each locality in the new development period.

Concluding the working session, Comrade Luong Cuong, Politburo member and President, requested Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee to further concretize the Action Program to implement the Resolution, clarify priority and breakthrough issues, have practical solutions, and focus resources to ensure feasible and effective development; strive by 2030, Phu Tho will become a center for industrial development, trade, logistics, tourism, healthcare, high-quality training, and a large cultural center associated with the nation's roots.

Regarding Dong Nai province, comrade Luong Cuong suggested that it is necessary to clearly identify the strategic position of the province in the key southern region in particular and the whole country in general in terms of economy, culture-society, national defense-security.

Dong Nai needs to review and evaluate more carefully the factors and conditions affecting the province's development in the coming time; determine more specific solutions and directions for developing economic sectors; supplement solutions for developing regional transport infrastructure, proactively building Dong Nai into a multi-regional, multi-center connection center; pay attention to planning new development spaces with a long-term, specific and prioritized strategic vision, and be consistent in implementation; need to have policies to attract talent and solutions to strongly develop high-quality human resources; and perform well in social security work.

The above localities need to pay special attention to Party building work, maintain principles, discipline, and order, focus on overcoming limitations, weaknesses, and mistakes in the past time; and improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations.

Concluding the working session with Dong Thap province, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man requested the Party Committee to mobilize all resources to be determined to build Dong Thap to develop rapidly and sustainably, becoming a growth pole in the Mekong Delta in terms of economy, culture and tourism, taking advantage of the strategic location of the gateway to the Mekong Delta to develop the maritime economy and inter-regional logistics. Regarding Quang Tri province, comrade Tran Thanh Man requested the Party Committee to continue promoting the strength of great solidarity, self-reliance, and the tradition of the resilient revolutionary land; making the most of available resources; focusing on rapid and sustainable economic development, taking energy industry and high-tech industry as growth drivers, developing unique and worthy tourism services, striving to become a new growth pole.

Concluding the working session with Vinh Long province, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu acknowledged and highly appreciated the preparations for the Congress of Vinh Long province, and noted that Vinh Long province needs to absorb the opinions of Politburo members, Secretariat members and central agencies to supplement and complete the documents, especially including the central government's major policies in the documents and making institutional breakthroughs for local development.

For Thai Nguyen province, comrade Tran Cam Tu suggested strengthening the building of a clean, strong and comprehensive Party and political system; ensuring national defense and security; promoting the tradition of solidarity, breakthroughs in rapid, unique and sustainable development; comprehensively improving the people's lives, building Thai Nguyen province into a modern industrial center with high average income before 2030; at the same time, the action program needs to have a specific roadmap to clarify resources and time to complete specific goals, as well as doing a good job of propaganda before, during and after the Congress to create an atmosphere of solidarity in the whole province.

The Working Groups requested the Provincial Party Committees to study and absorb the opinions of the Politburo and Secretariat members and the comments of the Central Committees, ministries and branches to complete the documents submitted to the Congress; focus on studying, discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents of the 13th Party Central Committee to submit to the 14th Party Congress; promote the implementation of propaganda work before, during and after the Congress, and prepare well the conditions for the successful organization of the Congress.
