Phuoc Thuan Border Guard Station Youth Union has selected the “Border Scissors” team consisting of officers and soldiers with talent in hair cutting to coordinate with staff from hair salons in the area to directly cut hair for free for more than 50 students. This is a school in a coastal area, where there are many students in difficult circumstances, most of whom are children of fishermen and freelance workers.

Major Bui Dinh Tam, Political Commissar of Phuoc Thuan Border Guard Station, said: “The “Border Pulling Hand” model, although simple, has many practical meanings. This is not only an activity to care for the lives of people in the coastal border areas but also a bridge to strengthen the solidarity between the army and the people, contributing to firmly protecting sovereignty and border security.”
This model has been maintained regularly by the Phuoc Thuan Border Guard Station Youth Union for many years, becoming a meaningful activity to care for the material and spiritual life of people in coastal and island border areas, especially children in difficult circumstances. This is also a practical activity to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2025) and respond to the emulation movement "Young Border Guards practice morality, practice talent, be proactive, creative, and determined to win".
