Ministry of Education and Training invites artists and athletes to teach in general education

(Dan Tri) - The Ministry of Education and Training allows inviting artisans, artists, coaches, and athletes to participate in educational activities in general schools.

Accordingly, experts, artisans, artists, coaches, and athletes all have the opportunity to participate in educational activities in public schools.

This is the main content of the document issued by the Ministry of Education and Training this afternoon (September 15), to implement the Prime Minister's directive on organizing two sessions of teaching per day, improving the quality of comprehensive education in ethics - intelligence - physical fitness - aesthetics, meeting the requirements of the new general education program.

Specifically, the Ministry of Education and Training stipulates that for subjects and educational activities specified in the general education program that are organized to be taught in the first session, schools can invite experts, artisans, artists, coaches, and athletes to participate in teaching according to the lessons or topics to ensure the school's educational plan.

Similarly, for enrichment activities, experiences, art clubs, sports , life skills, cultural exchanges, etc., organized in the second session, the school can also invite the above team to participate, to ensure requirements are met.

According to the guidance document of the Ministry of Education and Training, 4 groups of experts, artisans, artists, coaches, and athletes are given priority to invite, including:

Firstly: experts and scientists with high professional qualifications, degrees and certificates appropriate to the industry or group of industries; have practical experience and professional reputation in related fields; have achievements and recognized research works.

Second: artisans and artists who have achieved titles conferred by the state or have won awards at the ministerial or provincial level or higher or from professional associations; have made contributions recognized by professionals and the public.

Third: the coach has a diploma or coaching certificate issued by a competent authority or has achievements in coaching athletes to win awards in high-performance sports tournaments; has practical experience in coaching and training.

4th: Athletes who have achieved level 1 athlete level or higher or won medals and prizes in high-performance sports tournaments.

Regarding the coordination mechanism, the Ministry of Education and Training requires school teachers to take the role of leading and managing the classroom. Experts, artisans, artists, coaches, and athletes play the role of providing specialized knowledge, specific abilities, and support for school teachers.

Regarding finance, the Ministry of Education and Training guides: using the state budget according to approved estimates; at the same time mobilizing and using legal socialized resources.

Payment must be public, transparent and implemented in accordance with the labor contract ensuring the provisions of law, which clearly stipulates the rights and obligations of the parties, implementation time and remuneration (if any).

Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Official Dispatch No. 4567/GDĐT-GDPT dated August 5 on instructions for teaching two sessions per day for primary, secondary and high schools, in which it instructed to focus on improving the quality of comprehensive educational activities on morality - intelligence - physical fitness - aesthetics for students.

However, to mobilize many social forces to participate in schools, especially inviting experts, artisans, artists, coaches, and athletes to participate in educational activities in general schools, specific guidelines are needed to unify and not overload students and related parties.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, allowing these teams to be invited helps enrich teaching and learning activities; helps mobilize talented people outside of the teaching force to participate in teaching and training in educational institutions, helping the education sector proactively develop a team of experts.

In particular, the Ministry of Education and Training requests the Departments of Education and Training to advise the People's Committees of provinces and cities to develop and promulgate standards and remuneration policies for the above-mentioned team of experts in accordance with the practical situation; create conditions for socialization and mobilization of legal resources from the community, businesses, and social organizations to participate in accordance with the provisions of law.
