Ministry of Transport proposes strict handling of disguised fixed-route vehicles

According to the Ministry of Transport , in recent times, the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities have paid attention to and closely coordinated with the Ministry of Transport in State management of transport activities, especially in resolving the situation of "illegal buses, illegal stations", disguised fixed-route buses, shared buses, and convenient buses in the local area.

The Ministry of Transport requested the People's Committees of localities to continue to strengthen inspection and strictly handle vehicles disguised as fixed-route vehicles and illegal buses and stations (illustrative photo).

However, the above situation still exists in many places, violations still occur openly without being strictly handled.

To continue to strictly manage transport business activities according to the provisions of law, the Ministry of Transport requests the People's Committees of provinces and cities to continue to pay attention to coordinating and directing functional agencies to review and strictly implement the tasks, solutions and instructions of the Ministry of Transport on inspecting and handling "illegal buses, illegal stations", disguised fixed-route buses, shared buses, and convenient buses.

The Department of Transport shall preside over and coordinate with relevant departments and branches to advise on plans for the People's Committees of provinces and cities to implement Directive No. 23 of the Prime Minister on strengthening the work of ensuring traffic order and safety (TTATGT) for road transport business activities in the new situation.

The Ministry of Transport also requested the People's Committees of localities to direct the Department of Transport to strengthen coordination with the Traffic Police force and local police to continue to strictly implement Directive No. 10 of the Prime Minister on strengthening the work of ensuring road traffic safety in the new situation to ensure effectiveness and suitability with the actual situation.

Regularly review and inspect the implementation of regulations on traffic safety conditions of automobile transport business units in the area, paying special attention to the implementation of regulations on driving time, speed, technical safety conditions of vehicles, conditions of drivers in transport business, carrying the correct number of people as prescribed... strictly handle violations if detected.
