According to the announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on November 30, at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Liuguang, Comrade Wang Yi, Politburo member, Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China will visit Vietnam and, together with Deputy Prime Minister Tran Liuguang, co-chair the 15th meeting of the Steering Committee for Vietnam-China Bilateral Cooperation from December 1-2.

In recent times, the Vietnam-China relationship has generally maintained a development trend and achieved many positive results. Especially after the official visit to China by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the invitation of President and General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Xi Jinping from October 30 to November 1, 2022.

In terms of trade, Vietnam continues to hold the position of China's largest trading partner in ASEAN and China's fourth largest trading partner by single country.

Since the beginning of 2023, many Chinese enterprises, especially those with the ability to participate deeply in the global supply chain, have increased their surveys and investments in the northern provinces of Vietnam, such as: Wingtech Group - the largest smartphone assembler in China and the world, committed to continue to survey and select investment opportunities in Phu Tho province. China's Goertek Group has just invested in a new project with a capital of 280 million USD and expanded an operating project in Bac Ninh province. BYD Group, China's largest electric vehicle manufacturer, has invested in an auto parts project in Phu Tho province with a total investment of 269 million USD, with revenue in 2022 reaching 178 million USD...

Regarding tourism, China has been the leader in the number of tourists to Vietnam for many years, accounting for 1/3 of the total international arrivals to Vietnam. Since February 2020, due to the Covid-19 outbreak, tourism cooperation between the two countries has been temporarily interrupted. In the first 10 months of 2023, Vietnam welcomed 1.3 million Chinese visitors, ranking 2nd among the markets sending visitors to Vietnam.
