Previously, on June 23, RT also reported on Russia's FAB-3000 bomb airstrike targeting a military position on the Liptsy frontline, Kharkov region.

Several Russian Telegram channels reporting on the Ukraine conflict cited local sources as saying the attack targeted the deployment area of one of the battalions of the 13th Special Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. The Russian Defense Ministry has yet to comment on the incident.

On Thursday (June 20), the Russian military reportedly used a similar bomb to attack a three-story building in Liptsy that was also apparently being used by the Ukrainian military. According to video released of the attack, the building was not directly hit but still sustained significant damage.

Russian military experts say the FAB-3000 bomb is powerful enough to destroy even the strongest fortifications. In addition, the integration of new technology allows it to attack targets with high precision.

Both Russian and Western experts say Russian guided bombs pose an extremely serious threat to Ukraine and are very difficult to intercept.

Russia launched an offensive in the Kharkiv region in early May and has taken control of about a dozen settlements. The deployment of military operations in the area is aimed at creating a “fence” to protect Russia’s border areas from frequent Ukrainian artillery and drone attacks.
