This is the first step in the roadmap to build a formal training program on astronomy and space, expected to be implemented from the 2026 school year. According to the Academy's leaders, the goal is not only to train human resources, but also to create a pioneering team to lay the foundation for a new but potential field in Vietnam.
Salary up to 40 million, opportunity to study abroad
Candidates are required to have a master's degree in the relevant field, graduated with honors or higher, or a doctorate in a related field. The Academy gives priority to those who have studied, researched, and taught at universities and research institutes with strengths in space science at home and abroad.
The notable point is the attractive starting salary: from 20-30 million VND/month for master's degree, and 30-40 million VND/month for doctorate, with a minimum salary increase policy of 15% per year.
In addition, lecturers will be considered for training abroad, working in a creative, internationally oriented environment.

Two new facilities in Bac Ninh and Long Thanh
The new majors will be implemented at the Academy's two new campuses in Bac Ninh and Long Thanh. Of which, the Long Thanh campus will play the role of a research and applied practice center, thanks to its advantage of being close to the airport and connected to the Southern high-tech park.
According to the Academy representative, this is part of a long-term development strategy, aiming to gradually integrate Vietnam deeply into the global network of research and application of space technology.

Pioneered in AI, UAVs, Robotics
Before entering the space field, Vietnam Aviation Academy has made remarkable changes by boldly introducing modern subjects such as artificial intelligence (AI), robotics and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) control technology.
"We clearly define: training must be linked to core technology and future trends. Space science will be one of the next key development directions," the Academy's leader emphasized.
