MU legends recreate glorious past at Hang Day Stadium

TPO - At a time when MU continues to disappoint, their legends are present at Hang Day Stadium and bring excitement to Vietnamese fans by recalling the glorious past not too far away.

During their tour in Vietnam, three days ago, the MU legends played their first friendly match with the Vietnam All Stars team at Hoa Xuan Stadium, Da Nang with a 4-2 victory for the guests from Manchester, UK.

After the match, the former Red Devils had an exciting tour in Da Nang city before moving to Hanoi to play the second friendly match at Hang Day stadium.

Despite the heavy rain pouring down on the capital Hanoi, many fans, including MU fans, were present in the stands to cheer and follow every step of the Vietnamese football legends as well as MU.

When the names of former MU players were announced one by one, from Michael Owen, Teddy Sheringham to Wes Brown, Dion Dublin and Dwight Yorke, Hang Day Stadium was once again filled with excitement, showing the great love of Vietnamese fans for the 20-time English champion team.

In the match at Hang Day Stadium, the former MU players wore the away kit from the 1998/99 season, the season they won the great treble under the leadership of coach Sir Alex Ferguson.

Yorke and Sheringham were the two witnesses of that season. Yorke scored 29 goals in all competitions and Sheringham scored the equalizer in the 90+1 minute in the Champions League final against Bayern, before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sealed the victory 2 minutes later.

There is another legendary figure at Hang Day Stadium: Wes Brown, who played regularly as a right-back in the 2007/08 season when MU won the Champions League.

Michael Owen is also a fan favorite. At 45, the former England striker still shows class every time he touches the ball.

Although he only played for MU for 3 years, Owen created many memorable moments, including the winning goal in the 4-3 victory in the Manchester derby in the 2009/10 season.
