The official race on October 5 will have the participation of more than 13,000 domestic and international athletes, competing on the route passing through many historical and cultural sites of Hanoi , spreading the spirit of "Running for a superior Vietnam".


The opening ceremony of the 4th Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon marked the return of the inspirational sporting event - a symbolic race of Hanoi Capital attracting nearly 1.5 times more athletes than the previous season. With a well-invested running route, passing through the impressive heritage and cultural sites of the Capital, the race is expected to bring new experiences, combining breakthrough digital technology , Vietnamese cultural symbols and international standards, creating a special and memorable mark.
At the opening ceremony, Techcombank donated 2 billion VND to the Hanoi City “For the Poor” Fund to build solidarity houses, the Hanoi City Children's Fund, the Hanoi Basketball Federation and the Hanoi City Bicycle and Motor Sports Federation. This activity is part of Techcombank's strategic direction with the mission of creating a good life, supporting and sharing difficulties with the community and fulfilling corporate social responsibility for a sustainable development future.
Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Ms. Vu Thu Ha, Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Committee, affirmed: "Following the success of previous seasons, the 4th season - 2025, the Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon continues to affirm Hanoi's position on the regional and world sports map. The race is not just a race, but also a journey for each athlete and citizen to feel the vibrant life, beautiful landscapes and thousand-year-old cultural values of the civilized capital. Hanoi will direct the departments, branches and localities of the city to closely coordinate with the Organizing Committee to ensure the race takes place safely, professionally, thoughtfully and impressively for athletes, people of the capital and international friends."

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the 2025 Marathon Village officially opened at Vinhomes Riverside Long Bien, becoming a vibrant exhibition space, gathering leading brands in the fields of sports, health, nutrition and lifestyle. Here, Techcombank Expo made a strong impression with a booth displaying the bank's innovative technology solutions and special items with the theme "Technology and the future".
This year's season, the item set also creates attraction when taking the image of Khue Van Cac - the symbol of knowledge and culture of Thang Long citadel - as the main inspiration, combined with a design with the spirit of "intersecting curves" to depict the flexibility, connectivity and resonance of community strength.
Another unique feature of the season is the application of AI technology on the running track to bring interesting personalized videos to all athletes. Within 24-36 hours after the end of the event, athletes will receive a short video recording impressive and memorable moments on the running track. Previously, the activity "Create AI videos - Become an ambassador of Techcombank Marathon 2025" attracted the attention of the community with more than 50,000 videos created within two weeks, quickly inspiring strongly thanks to the connection of sports with modern technology.
On the official competition day, more than 13,000 athletes from 51 countries and territories participated in the competition, making Hanoi a global rendezvous for impressive running steps. The route passes through many historical and cultural landmarks such as Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Long Bien Bridge, National Assembly House... helping each athlete not only conquer the physical challenge but also experience the intersection between thousand-year-old culture and modern life. Notably, the 21km distance will have the participation of the oldest athlete - 81 years old - promising to bring an inspirational story about the power of will and passion for sports.
In addition to the participation of international athletes, the race also gathered many prominent faces of Vietnamese athletics such as national record holders Hoang Nguyen Thanh, Hoang Thi Oanh, or SEA Games 32 gold medalist Nguyen Trung Cuong. In particular, "The Train Without Numbers (Sub 3)" with nearly 80 runners who completed the marathon in under 3 hours will set a new record in terms of scale and number of people, becoming a symbol of the desire to conquer and a source of inspiration for thousands of people to set higher goals for themselves.
