Reaching the revenue milestone of 700 billion VND, "Red Rain" is in theaters until September 28

According to Box Office Vietnam, the movie “Red Rain” reached the 700 billion VND mark on September 25. Since its official premiere on August 22, 2025, the movie has continuously surpassed the revenue milestones of previously established movies.

“Red Rain” is considered a milestone of the People’s Army Cinema, the highest-grossing film about the Vietnamese revolutionary war by a female director; the film welcomed more than 8 million viewers to theaters, many of whom watched the film multiple times.

Lieutenant Colonel, Meritorious Artist, director Dang Thai Huyen and the cast contributed to the success of the movie "Red Rain".

Lieutenant Colonel, Meritorious Artist Dang Thai Huyen, Deputy Director of the People's Army Cinema, director of the film "Red Rain" shared: "After more than 1 month of the film being released in theaters and receiving enthusiastic response from the audience, today we can proudly say that the entire crew of "Red Rain" has completed the mission with all their efforts and the highest dedication."

The female director also expressed her emotion that it is wonderful that a work is released to the public and loved by the audience: “We are grateful to all the audiences, press agencies, distributors, and theaters who have accompanied “Red Rain” throughout this wonderful journey. Each screening, each sorrowful look, each falling tear, words of encouragement or enthusiastic comments for “Red Rain” give us more motivation to be confident in film projects on the themes of revolutionary war, history, homeland... In the future, on a new journey, a new story, cinema and love for the place where we were born and grew up will always be the bridge for us to find each other again”.
