"Death Battle in the Air" directed by Ham Tran, was inspired by real hijacking events in Vietnam after liberation and was also the first victory of the predecessor force of the air security force of the current People's Public Security force.

The film tells the story of a real-life plane hijacking that took place in Vietnam in 1978. Members of a group of hijackers, led by Long (played by Thai Hoa), planned to take over a civilian plane and force the crew to change its route so they could escape abroad.

The story is full of drama and tension, with breathtaking action scenes, hand-to-hand combat and the sacrifices of the air guards to rescue the passengers...

The film features "stars" such as Thai Hoa, Kaity Nguyen, Thanh Son, Xuan Phuc, Vo Dien Gia Huy, Tram Anh, Tran Ngoc Vang, Ma Ran Do... The film is considered by experts and audiences to be a good action film, the script has a surprising twist at the end, and the film's pace is fast and concise.

The youthful cast, bright appearance and many smoothly handled aerial action scenes help the film score points with both the general audience and critics. With the current growth, observers believe that “Fighting in the Sky” will continue to lead the Vietnamese box office throughout the end of September and the beginning of October and will achieve impressive revenue levels.

Although not as strong as “Red Rain” - the film has now reached a revenue of nearly 700 billion VND in just one month, “Fighting in the Sky” still affirms its solid position on the box office charts.
