Accordingly, the Investigation Committee of the Football Association of Thailand has released documents on the incident. The two players Sophonwit and Teerapak were suspended from playing for the national teams for 6 months.

Three members of the coaching staff were also punished, including goalkeeper coach Chokchok Chokmoh, and two team officials, Mayid Madada and Patrawut Wongsripuek. They were suspended from national team duties for one year. These people received heavier punishments because, according to the Football Association of Thailand, they are experienced and qualified and must set an example for the players.

Previously, in the final match of the 32nd SEA Games, the U22 Indonesia and U22 Thailand teams had a collision. The referee had to show 7 red cards to members of both teams.
