Unique bridge offers 'space travel' experience

The bridge is about 400 meters long with many houses of different colors located in Linshi town, Chongqing, China. Part of the bridge is built in traditional Chinese style, the other part is in western style. There are no high-rise buildings on the bridge.

In 2023, Harsh Goenka, an Indian businessman, shared a video of the unusual bridge on social media and it quickly gained attention. He wrote: "Imagine living in this place."

While many people marvel at the beauty and uniqueness of the bridge, others want to know the practicalities of living here. Some people expressed their desire to live in this unique place and that it would be great if there was internet service and food delivery, according to Gulftoday .

According to photographer Guo Xu, who visited the bridge, the unique combination of architecture, half traditional Chinese style, half Western style, gives visitors an experience like "traveling through space".

Chongqing has more than 13,000 bridges. Some old bridges that are no longer used for vehicles have been converted into parks, recreation areas, pedestrian paths or parking lots in the city.
