Slow on Q1 profit plan, Digiworld (DGW) pays dividends at 35% rate

Digiworld Corporation (Code: DGW) has just approved the implementation of the 2023 dividend payment plan. Specifically, DGW will pay a dividend of 5% in cash, equivalent to each shareholder owning 1 share will receive 500 VND in dividends.

In addition, Digiworld will also pay stock dividends at a rate of 30%, corresponding to each shareholder owning 100 shares will receive 30 additional issued shares.

The capital source for the issuance will come from undistributed profit after tax on the audited consolidated financial statements at the end of 2023. It is expected that Digiworld will have to issue about 50 million more shares to pay dividends to shareholders in the third quarter of 2024.

Regarding the ESOP plan, issuing shares under the employee stock option program. Digiworld will replace the old ESOP issuance plan with a new plan.

According to the old plan, 2 million DGW shares will be issued to employees with a par value of VND 10,000/share. The implementation period is in the 3rd and 4th quarters of 2024. ESOP shares will be restricted from transfer within 1 year from the end date of the issuance.

Regarding business activities, in the first quarter of 2024, Digiworld recorded revenue of VND 4,985 billion, an increase of 26%. Profit after tax reached VND 92 billion, an increase of 16% over the same period last year.

According to the plan set for 2024, DGW's revenue target is 23,000 billion VND, profit after tax is 490 billion VND, respectively increasing 22% and 38% compared to the previous year. Thus, at the end of the first quarter of 2024, DGW has completed 21.7% of the revenue plan and 18.7% of the annual profit plan.
