In the cool weather of the full moon night of August, hundreds of brilliant lanterns are cleverly arranged, turning the space of the Interior Ministry Palace into a shimmering, magical world , recreating the ancient royal Mid-Autumn Festival scene. Under the golden moonlight, people and tourists join together in the festive atmosphere, enjoy the lantern art space and participate in activities imbued with the traditional culture of the ancient capital.
In particular, the program "Royal Palace Full Moon Night" brings to visitors and children special royal performances, such as "Lân mẫu xuat lan nhi" dance, Ngũ Hổ tả and Long Hổ hội, phoenix dance, excerpts from the play "Na tra đại nao thủy cung", Lục trịch hoa mã đăng dance... performed by artists of the Hue Royal Traditional Arts Theatre along with the August lantern procession and Mid-Autumn Festival feast for children. The program has created an emotional art party in the heart of the heritage.
Taking her family to Hue for the Mid-Autumn Festival , Ms. Minh Hang, a tourist from Da Nang, shared: “Welcoming the Mid-Autumn Festival right in the ancient citadel is a special experience. My children really enjoyed and were impressed when they saw the colorful lanterns, watched the royal dances and learned more about the traditional culture of the Vietnamese people.”
Similarly, attending the Mid-Autumn Festival in Hue for the first time, Ms. Jewlan , a French tourist, excitedly said: “This is wonderful! This is an oriental cultural activity that I have never seen anywhere else.”
