Correcting the situation of taking advantage of the name of a reporter to conduct illegal activities

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province requires units and localities in the province to keep evidence and promptly report to the authorities if they detect signs of taking advantage of the names of reporters and officers of the State Audit to conduct illegal activities, specifically calling units to discuss financial support for the organization of the 30th Anniversary of the establishment of the sector, to strictly handle the cases according to regulations.

The People's Committee of Quang Nam province also directed units and localities to provide information and evidence to the State Audit for inspection, clarification and handling according to authority and in accordance with the law in cases where the person who violates the law is a State Audit officer.

Previously, on December 29, 2023, the State Audit issued Official Dispatch No. 1596 "on rectifying the situation of impersonating and taking advantage of the name of reporters of the Auditing Newspaper and the Auditing Science Research Journal to operate illegally".

This document clearly states: “In recent days, the State Audit has received information from a number of units reflecting that reporters from the Auditing Newspaper and the Auditing Science Research Magazine called to ask for financial support for the State Audit to organize the 30th anniversary of the industry's founding.

However, through checking and reviewing the names and phone numbers used for the exchange provided by the units, it was found that they were not reporters of the Auditing Newspaper and the Auditing Science Research Journal. This is an activity that lacks standards, violates professional ethics, and is contrary to the law and instructions of the State Audit; causing frustration for the unit, significantly affecting the reputation and image of the State Audit.
