Having been painting for 4 years now, Truong said he has never attended any formal school. “In addition to my natural talent, I also researched and learned from those who came before me,” Truong said.
The opportunity to come to the path of artistic creation of the young man from Dak Nong was also very coincidental. Truong said: “Before that, when I was still in school, the paintings I drew were often praised by everyone. Because I felt that I had some talent, I learned online about the drawing techniques of famous domestic and foreign artists.”

The paintings that Truong draws often have their own inspiration, but mainly from familiar images of the homeland landscape. Born and raised in the Central Highlands, the mountainous landscape has always been an endless source of inspiration for Truong.

With the desire to bring real life landscapes into paintings in a realistic and vivid way, Truong's paintings are especially realistic. It usually takes him 4-5 days to complete a work. "There are paintings that require high detail and meticulousness, sometimes it takes me a whole week to complete," Truong said.
Use brush strokes to depict beautiful images of the country
During his time pursuing the path of painting, one of the works that Truong was most fond of and loved by many people was: Halfway up the hill. “This painting was inspired by the scene of the canola flower season in the Northwest region. For me, this work is special because it expresses my own personality through each brushstroke, composition and color treatment in the painting,” Truong shared.

Pursuing the path of painting not only helps Truong satisfy his passion but also brings in income. In addition to his own paintings, Truong also accepts painting requests. Each of Truong's paintings is sold for a price ranging from 4 to 10 million VND, depending on the size and requirements of the customer.
“It’s not just the passion or value of the painting, but I also want to use my own brushstrokes to depict and share the most beautiful images of our country’s natural landscapes. To me, those are very familiar and peaceful images,” Truong shared.
