Ukraine war heats up amid news of Kyiv counterattack

Ukrainian forces are said to have made good progress and penetrated Russia's first line of defense. However, in some other areas, Ukraine's progress appears to be slower.

The announcement by the British Ministry of Defense is the latest sign that Ukraine's long-discussed large-scale counterattack has officially begun.
