The 10th session, scheduled to open on October 20, is the final session of the 15th National Assembly , deciding on the largest legislative volume ever. The session is of special importance to evaluate and summarize the term, decide on major national issues and lay the foundation for a new development stage.
The session is expected to take place from October 20 to December 12, and will consider and decide on 66 contents and groups of contents, including 50 laws, 3 resolutions on legislative work, 13 groups of contents on socio -economics, state budget, supervision and decide on other important issues of the country.
At the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also stated that the conference between the Government Standing Committee and the National Assembly Standing Committee outlined the issues that need to be prepared for the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly. The Prime Minister asked the two sides to coordinate closely and continue to innovate in the direction of both improving quality and ensuring timely progress. The Prime Minister asked the Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers to take time and promote their roles and responsibilities to contribute to improving the quality of draft laws and resolutions; and to urge the completion of unfinished draft laws and resolutions. Speaking at the conference, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man also said that in preparation for the 10th session, both sides had made early, remote preparations and agreed on the contents of the report. The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that the National Assembly had well organized 9 extraordinary sessions and 9 regular sessions, moving towards preparing for the election of National Assembly and People's Council deputies in March 2026. Laws and resolutions drafted by ministries and branches were transferred to the National Assembly for review and quick resolution in the spirit of continuous meetings. The National Assembly Chairman hoped that the Government agencies would soon submit documents and files that needed to be fully and carefully prepared to send to National Assembly deputies as soon as possible.
The National Assembly Chairman stated that the upcoming 10th session is expected to last more than 40 days, and if the scientific program is arranged, it can be shortened; he suggested that both sides ensure the meeting regulations; clearly define progress and responsibilities; focus on priorities, avoid spreading; discussion, acceptance, and explanation must be clear; and discussion, criticism, and multi-dimensional listening should be enhanced.
The National Assembly Chairman suggested that the upcoming session should further improve quality; increase the application of transparent technology, digital National Assembly towards a smart National Assembly; digital transformation, digitization, and application of artificial intelligence (AI) in law-making work.

The National Assembly Chairman said that the upcoming session will be a historic one, deciding many important issues of the country. There needs to be joint efforts, unanimity, and close coordination between the National Assembly and the Government for the session to be successful.
