On the morning of October 16, the People's Committee of Mui Ne Ward ( Lam Dong Province) coordinated with relevant units to mobilize about 100 people and many vehicles to participate in the enforcement of a nearly 7,500m2 land area illegally occupied by people in the Mui Ne flying sand dunes scenic area (Ward 15, Mui Ne Ward).
Specifically, the authorities have organized enforcement and restored the original state of the land before the violation according to the Decision on enforcement of remedial measures No. 781/QD-CCXP dated June 20, 2025 of the Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee against Mr. Lai Thien Phuoc (born in 1975, residing in Mui Ne ward) for the act of occupying nearly 7,500m2 of unused land managed by the State.

During the enforcement session, the authorities removed crops, dismantled some illegal constructions on the land, and re-measured the encroached land area to hand over to the People's Committee of Mui Ne Ward for management.

Since December 2022, SGGP Newspaper has continuously reported on the fact that about 73,000 square meters of land in the area bordering the famous Mui Ne sand dunes have been illegally encroached upon and transferred by many subjects, blatantly building a series of solid structures, causing public outrage. After that, the Standing Committee of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee (formerly) requested the Standing Committee of the Phan Thiet City Party Committee (formerly) to direct the inspection and verification of the information reported by the newspaper for handling in accordance with the provisions of law.

Up to now, the People's Committee of Mui Ne Ward has organized the enforcement of 1 case of encroachment on State-managed land by Mr. Lai Thien Phuoc, reclaiming an area of nearly 7,500m2 . The remaining area of up to more than 63,000m2 of land illegally encroached by 2 individuals Nguyen Thi Thuy Trang and Nguyen Thi Thu Thao is continuing to have its records consolidated by the authorities to organize enforcement and restore the status quo.

Responding to SGGP Newspaper, Mr. Le Thanh Son, Chairman of Mui Ne Ward People's Committee informed that for the remaining two cases of land encroachment in the Mui Ne flying sand dunes scenic area, the authorities plan to organize enforcement and return the land to the State for management next week.
