On the morning of June 16, the People's Committee of Cho Moi district held a conference to summarize the implementation of Action Program 12-CTr/HU of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee on "Developing tourism in 3 communes of Cu Lao Gieng, Cho Moi district to 2020 with orientation to 2030".

With favorable natural conditions, many religious and belief worshiping establishments, garden houses... to develop community ecotourism and spiritual tourism models. Therefore, the approval of the tourism development planning for 3 Cu Lao Gieng communes by the Provincial People's Council is the basis for tourism development here, from which tourism development work gradually improves and attracts tourists to visit... However, according to the general assessment, tourism development here still has many limitations: The system of food service establishments and accommodation establishments is small and fragmented; other tourism services have not been formed, there is a lack of entertainment areas in the tourist area; there are no key projects invested to fully promote the potential and strengths of the locality.

“In the coming time, the locality needs to resolutely and effectively implement the Tourism Development Project for 3 communes of Cu Lao Gieng, have solutions on mechanisms and policies to attract and give incentives to businesses to invest in tourism development projects associated with community tourism development; re-plan garden tourism spots, historical sites…” - Vice Chairman of Cho Moi District People's Committee Vo Minh Nang shared.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Cho Moi district awarded certificates of merit to 8 collectives and 8 individuals with outstanding achievements in tourism development in the period 2017 - 2024.
