In the sacred and respectful atmosphere at the Cay Coc Struggle Memorial (Tien Tho commune), the leaders observed a moment of silence and offered incense to commemorate the soldiers and compatriots who had fallen for the cause of national liberation. At this relic site more than 70 years ago, more than 330 compatriots and loyal party members, while fighting directly against the enemy, demanding people's livelihood and civil rights, and demanding the implementation of the Geneva Agreement, were brutally suppressed and massacred by the invading American imperialists and their traitorous lackeys.

According to the Dong Trai massacre evidence stele, in December 1955, the reactionary Kuomintang organization frantically hunted down more than 200 comrades and people in Tien Son, Tien Cam, and Tien Ha communes, buried them alive, and killed them by barbaric and cowardly methods in pig pits. On September 20, 2009, the Provincial People's Committee recognized the Dong Trai massacre evidence stele as a provincial-level historical relic.
