DIFF 2025 Final: Vietnam shows national spirit

(VTC News) - After nearly two months of exciting competition, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2025 will conclude with the final night "Welcoming the new era".

Vietnam - Z121Vina Pyrotech: Message of peace in the new era

As one of the two best teams after nearly two months of competition, the Z121 Vina Pyrotech fireworks team will represent Vietnam in the final night of DIFF 2025 with a passionately invested work called "Message of Peace".

Using about 7,000 fireworks, the Ministry of National Defense’s fireworks team promises to bring a brilliant and eye-catching performance, meeting the expectations and affection of the audience; at the same time, sending a manifesto of light about the values ​​that Vietnam always steadfastly pursues: Peace and stability – a sustainable foundation in an ever-changing world.

Colonel Tran Thanh Son, team leader of Z121 Vina Pyrotech, shared: “We are representatives of a military enterprise participating in the competition, so it is inevitable that each performance will always exude the spirit and style of a soldier - not noisy, but full of determination. This performance will not be as “slow” as the opening night, but also not as “hurried” as the style that the audience often sees from many other teams in previous fireworks seasons.”

The “Message of Peace” performance consists of four fireworks chapters, with constantly changing colors and music . Opening with a vibrant melody, depicting the dynamic development of Da Nang – the city of the future. Then the second chapter, with the main red and yellow fireworks colors, recreates the heroic history, the indomitable tradition of building and defending the country of the nation.

In the third chapter, the audience will encounter gentle but no less powerful arrangements, using blue and purple tones symbolizing the spirit of freedom, determination to rise up and the desire for innovation in the modern era. The climax comes at the end, when music and light blend in an open space to affirm that development is inevitable, peace is the indispensable core.

The music list used by the team in the performance was carefully selected, combining famous international songs such as Centuries, Fireworks, The Nights, Pirates of the Caribbean with Vietnamese songs rich in identity such as Hao khi Viet Nam, Khat vong hoa binh.

If in the qualifying round, the team made the whole audience burst into tears with "Like having Uncle Ho on the day of great victory", then in the final round, team Z121 Vina Pyrotech chose to perform explosive fireworks effects on the background of the song "Aspiration for Peace" - a composition that resounded solemnly at the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024, performed by Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi and Meritorious Artist Lien Huong.

China – Jiangxi Yangfeng: Shining Pearl, Future City

Facing the host team in the final night is the Jiangxi Yangfeng Art Display fireworks team from China. While in the qualifying round, the Chinese team impressed with their typical oriental fireworks display style, closely linked to a single piece of music, then in the final, they suddenly changed direction with a music list spanning up to 10 songs for about 7,000 fireworks - a bold decision, promising to create an artistic turning point.

Mr. Liang Weiming - captain of Jiangxi Yanfeng fireworks team - shared: “By participating in this competition, we want to challenge ourselves and conquer the championship title. We hope that the unique fireworks techniques that the team brings will touch the hearts of the Da Nang audience. That fire of determination is burning in the hearts of each member, and no words can fully describe our feelings.”

With the theme “A Shining Pearl – The City of Tomorrow”, the performance is a tribute to Da Nang, a coastal city that is growing strongly, moving towards a future of sustainable development and innovation. The Chinese team compared Da Nang to a shining “pearl” in the middle of Asia, a symbol of peace, integration and aspiration to reach new horizons.

What is particularly curious is that the Chinese team chose the song “Bac Bling”, a youthful Vietnamese song that is currently causing a stir on social media, to perform. This is the first time the Jiangxi Yangfeng fireworks team has included Vietnamese music in their performance, demonstrating their sophistication and receptiveness in approaching local culture.

Along with that is a series of colorful international songs such as The Final Countdown, Legacy of Six, Homecoming, Promise of Hope... creating a musical flow that is both vibrant and dreamy, taking the audience from reality to the future, from today's Da Nang to visions filled with hope.

A climax and brilliant finale

Z121 Vina Pyrotech (Vietnam) and Jiangxi Yangfeng (China), two teams with distinct marks in both performance style and fireworks language, will together create a sublime final night of DIFF 2025. The two teams convey a common message of the times: Aspiration for peace, development and connection between nations. Each performance is meticulously invested in from content structure, music to modern fireworks techniques, promising to bring the audience moments of explosive emotions by the Han River.

Not only fireworks, the art stage on the banks of the Han River will be hotter than ever with the appearance of top names: Singer My Tam, divo Tung Duong, singer Huong Tram... along with the top professional artists and dance troupes in Vietnam. In addition, SKY AR virtual reality technology continues to create multi-layered experiences, helping the audience fully immerse themselves in the visual feast between real and digital space.

The final night of DIFF 2025 will take place at 8:00 p.m. on July 12, broadcast live on VTV1 – Vietnam Television. A night of convergence of art, light and music, closing the longest fireworks season in the 15-year history of DIFF, and lighting up pride, the desire for peace and connection between nations.
