Art program "Vietnamese Birds" celebrates 100th birthday of musician Van Cao

On the evening of August 20, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of musician Van Cao's birth (1923-2023), the Vietnam Musicians Association organized the art program "Vietnamese Birds" to honor the late musician Van Cao.

Attending the event were President Vo Van Thuong, former President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and representatives of Party agencies, central ministries and branches.

Musician Van Cao devoted his entire life to creating art and inspiring many generations. The music night “Vietnamese Birds” went beyond the usual art program, becoming an art event for fans and people to remember the talented artist in many fields of literature and art.

The art program “Vietnamese Birds” connects the main stage inside the Hanoi Opera House with the space outside the August Revolution Square to recreate the special atmosphere of the historic August days of 1945, when the song Tien Quan Ca first resounded among the vast sea of ​​people in front of the Hanoi Opera House. Also at the program, music lovers once again enjoyed famous songs by musician Van Cao in all 3 genres: love song, march and epic, such as: Thien Thai, Buon Tan Thu, Truong Chi, Mua Xuan Dau Dau, Truong Ca Song Lo, Tien Ve Ha Noi…

From epics, epics, to love songs, musician Van Cao has created a musical chronicle of love for the Fatherland, national love with a desire for peace and wishes for the future. Through his works, musician Van Cao has contributed a unique voice to the flow of Vietnamese music.
