On the evening of October 5, at the Doan Mon Square stage - Thang Long Heritage Conservation Center, the art program "Ao Dai Night" took place with the participation of 65 Vietnamese Ao Dai designers from the 3 regions of North-Central-South, beauty queens, models, Vietnamese artists... and international delegates.

In particular, the program has a performance of Ao Dai costumes by the wives of ambassadors of various countries in Vietnam.

This is one of a series of events celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Nguyen Hong Minh said the art program "Ao Dai Night" with the participation of 65 designers, each collection has its own style, inspired by the eternal values ​​of Vietnam and the world through Ao Dai, so that the love of heritage and cultural connection can transcend time.

The Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival was held for the first time in 2016, with the desire to create a playground for artists, designers, and models, while also spreading the love for Ao Dai, preserving and promoting the traditional value of Ao Dai in social life, through Ao Dai connecting and promoting cultural heritage, promoting attractive tourism products of the Capital and tourism of the whole country.

Up to now, the Ao Dai festival has become an annual festival taking place in October, the most beautiful autumn of the year in Hanoi, with the participation and active response of the people, becoming a community stage, a cultural bridge festival, an annual destination in Hanoi's autumn for tourists and international friends.

Representing ao dai designers from 63 provinces and cities, bringing ao dai collections to the program with the hope of promoting ao dai and tourism for the capital and the country, designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam hopes that ao dai collections with heritage images and traditional pattern designs will create a trend for ao dai not only on the catwalk but also in real life.

Within the framework of the Festival, on the morning of October 5, the Ao Dai Carnival also took place. This is a large-scale art performance and parade organized by the Hanoi Women's Union in coordination with the Department of Tourism, aiming to spread the love of Ao Dai to a large number of people, friends and international tourists, of all ages and genders./.
