Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Football Club requests to change its name to Truong Tuoi Dong Nai Football Club

After being reorganized into the new Dong Nai province, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Football Club proposed to change its name and invest in renovating and upgrading Dong Nai Stadium into its home field.

At the working session with the leaders of Dong Nai province, the representative of Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Football Club said that in the first two seasons after taking over, the club has achieved many remarkable achievements.

In the first year, the team won the bronze medal of the National First Division 2023-2024 season.

Next, in the 2024-2025 season, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club won the silver medal and a play-off ticket to compete for a place in the V-League. However, Cong Phuong's team lost toSHB Da Nang in this match.

To continue operating effectively after the merger, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc asked for the opinion of Dong Nai province leaders about changing the name to Truong Tuoi Dong Nai Football Club.

In addition, in order to better serve the fans and people of Dong Nai province after the merger, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc also proposed to invest in renovating and upgrading Dong Nai stadium.

After completion, Dong Nai Stadium will be used as the club's home ground for activities, training and competition in the coming time.

During that time, Truong Tuoi proposed to continue using Binh Phuoc Stadium as a competition ground and youth training ground for the academy.

Mr. Le Truong Son - Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, said that the province welcomes businesses to accompany Dong Nai football development.

Regarding the proposals from the Club, Mr. Son assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments and branches to verify the legality related to the procedures for changing the name of the Club, as well as clarify land procedures for the use of Dong Nai Stadium.

Mr. Son suggested that Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Football Club take over Dong Nai's football team to further develop this king sport in the future.

Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee will report to the Provincial Party Standing Committee to seek opinions and approve the implementation policy in accordance with regulations.
