According to the leader of the Quang Tri Department of Health, the Food Safety Department also worked with the People's Committee of Kim Ngan Commune on the incident to come to a conclusion and handle the violating individuals and organizations. Currently, the police are working with the facility that provides breakfast for the school.

This is necessary after many food poisoning incidents occurred in Quang Tri province, affecting the health and psychology of people, especially students.

The incident also caused controversy when a 40-second clip appeared, recording the scene of Ms. D.THH - Vice Principal of the school preventing students from going to the hospital despite the request of medical staff.

After that, 75 boarding students of Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School were simultaneously given leave by their parents. On the morning of October 2, when the People's Committee of Kim Ngan Commune issued a decision to temporarily suspend Ms. D.THH from work for 15 days, 75 new students were allowed by their parents to return to school.

According to the results from the Pasteur Institute in Nha Trang, the food samples related to the poisoning of 40 students at Kim Thuy Primary School for Ethnic Minorities tested positive for Bacillus cereus - a common bacteria found in soil, dust, water and food, which can cause vomiting, nausea, and abdominal pain, especially when cooked food is left for a long time. This bacteria often causes poisoning if cooked food is left for a long time.
