The Central Youth Union said that on September 10, in Hanoi, the Council of the Golden Globe Science and Technology Awards 2025 met and selected the list of 20 most outstanding faces for the final round. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Central Vietnam Student Association.
These are talented young scientists, under 35 years old, studying, researching and working at home and abroad in 5 fields: information technology - digital transformation and automation; medical - pharmaceutical technology; biotechnology; environmental technology and new materials technology.
96 Golden Globe Award nominations
According to the Central Youth Union, in 2025, the award recorded special attraction with 96 registrations, of which 83 were valid, an increase of 21 compared to 2024. The quality of candidates was highly appreciated with many patents, published in prestigious international journals and practical application products.
There are 61 PhDs, 17 masters and 5 bachelors participating; in particular, 26 candidates are researching and working in countries with developed science such as Japan, Singapore, Korea, France, Sweden, USA and Australia.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet chaired the meeting.

The 2025 Golden Globe Science and Technology Awards Council has announced the list of 20 outstanding finalists.
Notably, in this year's TOP20, there are 5 young scientists working in countries with developed science and technology . They are Dr. Nguyen Pham Nhat Thien Minh (Nanyang University of Technology, Singapore), Master Dao Tan Phat (Soongsil University, Korea), Dr. Pham Anh Tuan (KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden), Dr. Tran Ngoc Vinh (University of Michigan, USA) and Dr. Nguyen Duy Tam (Monash University, Australia).
The presence of these faces shows that the Golden Globe Science and Technology Award is not only a playground to honor young domestic talents, but also a bridge to connect Vietnamese intellectuals around the world , affirming the prestige, influence and strong spirit of international integration of the award.
The Award Council will continue to meet at the end of September to select the 10 most outstanding faces, nominating the Central Secretariat of the Youth Union to award the Golden Globe Science and Technology Award 2025.
List of TOP20 young scientists in various fields
In the field of information technology, digital transformation and automation, there are 4 faces: Dr. Le Duy Dung (VinUni University), Dr. Vu Thai Hoc (Thu Dau Mot University), Dr. Nguyen Pham Nhat Thien Minh (Nanyang Technological University, Singapore) and Dr. Thai Mai Thanh (VinUni University).
In medical technology, the four scientists include: MSc. Nguyen Viet Anh (Phenikaa University), Dr. Mai Ngoc Xuan Dat (Ho Chi Minh City National University), Dr. Luong Xuan Huy (Phenikaa University) and Dr. Le Quoc Viet (Ton Duc Thang University).

Biotechnology recognized two faces: Dr. Dang Thi Le Hang (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology) and MSc. Dao Tan Phat (Soongsil University, Korea).
In the field of environmental technology, there are 5 individuals: Dr. Nguyen Huu Tien (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology), MSc. Nguyen Huu Duc Ton ( Can Tho University), Dr. Ton Nu Quynh Trang (Ho Chi Minh City National University), Dr. Pham Anh Tuan (KTH Royal University, Sweden) and Dr. Tran Ngoc Vinh (Michigan University, USA).
The field of new materials technology has 5 scientists: Dr. Nguyen Duy Khanh (Van Lang University), MSc. Nguyen Ba Manh (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology), Dr. Phan Ke Son (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology), Dr. Nguyen Duy Tam (Monash University, Australia) and Dr. Nguyen Van Tuan (Military Technical Academy).
