According to the direction of the National Power System Control Center, Pha Lai Thermal Power Joint Stock Company must develop a power supply plan according to two options: 3.807 billion kWh and 2.925 billion kWh.

Specifically, the company strengthens control of compliance with regulations in the operation and supervision of equipment and construction repairs; ensures fire and explosion prevention, especially occupational safety and hygiene in equipment operation and repair, and minimizes environmental pollution. The unit regularly inspects equipment, detects defects early for timely correction, closely coordinates with repair forces, and quickly handles equipment abnormalities during operation. The company also requires forces to cross-check between shifts, promptly review, learn from experience, and adjust and handle errors and defects in operation; organize drills to handle incident situations.

Company leaders coordinated propaganda to raise awareness and responsibility of employees to optimize operations to reduce costs, reduce self-consumed electricity output, launch emulation movements in production and safe operation at generators to ensure electricity supply during the dry months.

The unit has signed a contract with Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group and Dong Bac Corporation to buy 3.3 million tons of coal.

Pha Lai Thermal Power Joint Stock Company currently has 2 coal-fired power plants with a total generating capacity of 1,040 MW. According to the direction of the National Power System Control Center, the 2024 electricity mobilization plan for Pha Lai Thermal Power Joint Stock Company according to plan 1 is 3.807 billion kWh and plan 2 is 2.925 billion kWh. In the first quarter of 2024, the unit's electricity output was 1,241 million kWh, an increase of 29.5% compared to the plan assigned by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
