The Food Safety Department requires handling of many violations of food advertising on social networks.

The Department of Food Safety (Ministry of Health) has just issued a press release on the results of the implementation of the Peak Month against commercial fraud, counterfeit goods, and goods infringing intellectual property rights under the direction of the Prime Minister.

Accordingly, from May 17 to June 17, the Food Safety Department has deployed synchronous solutions, focusing on inspection, handling and propaganda in the field of food safety. Leaders and officers of the Food Safety Department have chaired and participated in many working groups to inspect many localities across the country, including Dong Nai.

As a result of inspections at 17 establishments producing and trading functional foods, the inspection teams discovered 1 establishment violating labeling; 2 establishments violating advertising; 1 establishment violating 4 acts regarding production and trading conditions; 4 food business establishments not operating at the registered address. The Food Safety Department has sent a document to the Department of Finance of the provinces/cities requesting handling in accordance with the provisions of law.

Regarding the control of food advertising and trading in e-commerce, the Food Safety Department has reviewed and sent an official dispatch to the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, the Department of Market Management ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) to inspect and handle a number of health protection food products advertised and sold on e-commerce sites without a certificate of product declaration registration.

At the same time, send 6 official dispatches to Shopee Company Limited and Lazada Vietnam E-commerce Company Limited requesting to review, stop business, and remove information on products that do not have a certificate of registration of product declaration for sale on Lazada and Shopee.

The Food Safety Department has issued 9 official dispatches to local management agencies to coordinate, inspect, and handle information about weight loss products of individuals with nicknames "Ngan 98", "Ngan Collagen"; sent an official dispatch to the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information requesting to handle advertising violations for the fanpage named "Genuine Hoang Huong Meli Pharmaceuticals".
