Discussing at the Congress, delegate Vuong Trinh Quoc - Head of the Management Board of Lao Cai Economic Zones emphasized that the smart border gate model in Lao Cai province is a synchronous and interconnected border gate model that connects data on vehicles and goods between the two sides and transports goods through the border gate by fully automated smart vehicles according to international agreements between Vietnam and China within a specified scope, time and space . The implementation of the smart border gate model helps to double customs clearance capacity, while reducing logistics costs by 20 - 30%.
