One of the timely actions came from Hyundai Thanh Cong Dong Do dealer in Hanoi . The dealer representative, Mr. Thanh Binh, Deputy Director of Service, confirmed that they are implementing a free towing policy to the workshop for Hyundai car owners affected by flooding in Thai Nguyen province.
Mr. Binh said: "Hyundai Dong Do is supporting free towing for Hyundai cars from Thai Nguyen to Hyundai Dong Do for repair". This policy applies to all Hyundai brand cars, regardless of model or original place of purchase. According to information from the dealer, there were customers who contacted to receive this support right after the program was announced.

Paid rescue package as a long-term solution
In addition to the situational support programs, the market also has paid rescue service packages that operate regularly. A typical example is the VETC RSA rescue package provided by Tasco at a cost of 200,000 VND per year. This service package gives users the initiative when encountering problems on the road.
Specifically, VETC RSA includes on-site technical support services such as battery jump-starting, spare tire replacement, refueling, and especially towing and towing services. The scope of support applies to cases of vehicle accidents, collisions, overturns, fuel misfueling, water hammer, or other technical problems. For each rescue, customers are free towing and towing within a maximum range of 100 km. If the distance exceeds this limit, the additional cost is 22,000 VND/km.

However, users need to pay attention to the disclaimer terms. The service package does not apply to vehicles that have problems while at home, in the basement, in a repair garage, or in cases caused by the user intentionally or violating traffic laws. Vehicles that do not meet technical safety conditions or fall into rivers or lakes due to subjective errors are also not covered by the insurance.
Support programs from the manufacturer
Previously, VinFast also implemented customer support programs after natural disasters. Specifically, after the impact of storm No. 10 (storm Bualoi), the Vietnamese car company supported 500,000 VND for each car owner in Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa to pay the insurance deductible. This program applied to both gasoline and electric cars that were towed to the service workshop before October 5 and ended on October 20 of the same year.
For flooded electric vehicles, VinFast has provided free inspection services. The company also applied a policy of not charging a difference in fees for rescue services for water-damaged vehicles in Hanoi, but this policy also ended on October 5.
