Vinfast impressively launched in India the premium electric SUV duo VF6 and VF7 made in India

On September 6, VinFast officially announced the launch of two premium electric SUV models, VF 6 and VF 7, in India. These are VinFast's first products for the Indian market, strongly affirming its commitment to accompany the country on its journey to green and sustainable transportation, while positioning VinFast as one of the factors shaping the future of the Indian electric vehicle industry.

With Indian consumers increasingly favoring electric vehicles, VinFast brings here a pair of SUVs, the VF 6 and VF 7. From range, comfort to advanced safety features, the two models are designed to meet the needs of local customers, promising to redefine the experience of owning a premium electric vehicle. With this launch, VinFast hopes to become a catalyst for market transformation, combining international experience with local presence to best serve Indian consumers.

VinFast enters India amid a strong growth in the electric SUV market, especially in the premium segment. Its products are positioned as models with advanced features usually found in higher segments, modern safety technology and comprehensive after-sales service.

Inspired by the philosophy of “Natural Opposites”, the VF 6 is a compact electric SUV that harmoniously combines driving pleasure and sophistication, technology and humanity. The car is equipped with a 59.6 kWh battery, fast charging from 10 to 70% in 25 minutes, for a maximum distance of up to 468 km according to ARAI certification. The car's 2,730 mm wheelbase and 190 mm ground clearance are suitable for the travel needs of Indian families.

The car comes in three versions: Earth, Wind and Wind Infinity, with two interior color options. The VF 6 Earth has 130 kW of power, 250 Nm of torque, independent rear suspension, multiple driving modes, black interior, 12.9-inch entertainment screen, automatic air conditioning, electric driver's seat, cruise control and piano key gear lever.

VF 6 Wind has a capacity of 150 kW, torque of 310 Nm, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds, Mocca brown interior with premium artificial leather, 8-way power driver's seat, ventilated front seats, dual-zone air conditioning, 8-speaker sound system, color HUD, adaptive cruise control, ADAS level 2 driver assistance package and 18-inch wheels. VF 6 Wind Infinity adds a fixed panoramic sunroof, providing a spacious and airy space.

Standard equipment on the VF 6 includes: LED projector headlights with automatic leveling, VinFast's signature front and rear positioning lights, soundproof windshield and sunroof, electric folding exterior rearview mirrors with reverse support, smart start and door opening system, electric driver's seat, automatic air conditioning, one-touch anti-jamming window glass, automatic anti-glare full-frame rearview mirror, ABS, EBD, BA, ESC, TCS, HSA, ROM, ESS safety system, disc brakes on all four wheels, automatic wipers, 7 airbags, tire pressure sensor, 360-degree camera, automatic cruise control, 12.9-inch central entertainment screen supporting Apple CarPlay/Android Auto wireless connection, 6-speaker sound system, multiple driving modes and regenerative braking, and smart connectivity technology.

Meanwhile, the VF 7 carries the “Asymmetrical Universe” design philosophy, combining a bold exterior with a premium interior. This is a large SUV with a length of more than 4.5 m, a wheelbase of 2,840 mm, two battery options and five versions (Earth, Wind, Wind Infinity, Sky and Sky Infinity). The car also has two interior color options and two drive options: FWD and AWD.

The VF 7 Earth is equipped with a 59.6 kWh battery, an electric motor with a maximum output of 130 kW and a torque of 250 Nm, and a fast charge from 10% to 70% in 24 minutes. The interior is covered in sporty black artificial leather, a color head-up display (HUD), automatic wipers, dual-zone air conditioning, an electric driver's seat, cruise control, and 19-inch alloy wheels are standard equipment. The piano-key gear lever comes with a separate driving mode selector, an electronic handbrake, and an automatic brake hold function, both convenient and sophisticated.

VF 7 Wind uses a larger 70.8 kWh battery pack, PMSM engine for maximum capacity of 150 kW, torque of 310 Nm, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds. The car supports fast charging in 28 minutes (10-70%), 19-inch black sports rims, electric trunk, 8-way electric driver's seat, ventilated front seats, 8-speaker sound system, adaptive cruise control and ADAS level 2 driver assistance package, including distraction warning feature with driver monitoring camera mounted on the steering wheel. High-class Mocca brown artificial leather interior adds a luxurious highlight.

The VF 7 Sky is upgraded with two engines, total capacity of 260 kW and torque of 500 Nm, providing all-wheel drive (AWD) and acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds, while still retaining the same equipment as the Wind version.

The Wind Infinity and Sky Infinity versions add a fixed panoramic sunroof that spans the entire width, providing a more airy and premium space.

According to ARAI certification, the travel distance of the versions is Earth 438 km, Wind 532 km and Sky 510 km respectively.
