Da Nang connects with Dutch partners for aviation, smart city and seaport projects

A delegation of Da Nang city led by Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Duc Dung and Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Nam Hung recently had an investment promotion program in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, focusing on the fields of smart cities, aviation and seaports.

The delegation shared information related to a number of projects such as Lien Chieu port project, Cua Lo channel dredging project in Chu Lai economic zone, sea encroachment construction project... to attract cooperation and investment opportunities from Dutch companies.

In Amsterdam, the delegation worked with the Amsterdam Smart City Project Management Agency, with the participation of Vietnamese Ambassador to the Netherlands Ngo Huong Nam.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Nam Hung introduced the orientation of developing Chu Lai International Airport into a 4F airport according to the Government 's planning, associated with urban areas, commercial services, logistics and high technology.

Da Nang hopes that NACO will advise on solutions to design the airport in a green, smart, sustainable direction and connect with reputable international investors when the project is called for investment under the public-private partnership model in early 2026.

During the program, the delegation also worked with Royal Bokalis Westminster NV, a member of Royal Boskalis NV Group, a global enterprise in the field of construction and maintenance of maritime infrastructure.

The company introduced many major projects in the UAE, Singapore and Vietnam, including the Cai Mep Ha Logistics Center. The Da Nang delegation shared information on projects such as Lien Chieu Port, dredging Cua Lo Channel, Truong Giang River and construction of sea reclamation areas for Royal Boskalis to study cooperation opportunities.

Through the working sessions, the city delegation hopes to open up new cooperation opportunities in key areas, contributing to promoting sustainable development of Da Nang in the coming time.
