Danang University of Education celebrates 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Faculty of History - Geography - Politics

DNO - On the morning of October 4, the University of Education (University of Danang) held a ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment and development of the Faculty of History - Geography - Politics.

In December 1975, Quang Nam - Da Nang Pedagogical High School was established, in which the History - Geography - Politics group was one of the 7 professional groups of the school. This is the predecessor of the current History - Geography - Politics Department.

After many separations and changes, in March 2025, 3 faculties including History, Geography, and Political Education were merged with the name: Faculty of History - Geography - Politics.

The faculty currently offers 9 undergraduate majors, 3 master’s majors, and 1 doctoral major with over 2,000 students. 6/9 undergraduate majors have been certified to meet educational quality standards by national quality assessment centers.

In addition to direct training at the school, the faculty is one of the key units participating in training core teachers for Da Nang city and the Central Highlands provinces.

The Faculty participates in scientific projects and plans, supports and trains staff in the North Central region, Central Coast and Central Highlands.

The Faculty of History - Geography - Politics is one of the leading units in the social sciences in terms of international publications.

On average, each teacher has 1 international article per year, and teachers in the department participate in many topics at all levels.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Education and Training awarded a Certificate of Merit to the Faculty of History - Geography - Politics of the University of Education for its outstanding achievements in the process of building and developing the school.
